Living on Maui meant the beach was practically our backyard. So we’d hop in the truck, windows down, the salty breeze whipping through our hair. This was our island paradise, and we knew exactly how to make it an oasis of comfort and fun.

• Wide-Brimmed Hat: My go-to while on MAui was mainly a bold colored straw hat with a bright contrasting ribbon that matched my swimsuit perfectly. It shielded my face from the Maui sun while adding a pop of color for those envy-inducing beach selfies.

• Oversized Sunglasses with UV Protection: We all rock oversized shades, and I had several pairs that totally gave off a cool vibe while on Maui. From Gucci and Balenciaga or Salvatore Ferragamo, to Maui Jim and Rayban, they not only look great but protect our eyes from the glare-off from the turquoise water. Here’s our suggestions:

• SPF Essentials: Living on Maui means that reef protection is drilled into us. We always opt for reef-safe, waterproof sunscreen. You can also use reusable ice cubes made from stainless steel to avoid diluting your water as they melt.
