Thanks Maria, I’m glad to (finally) answer all of your questions:

When did you know fashion/beauty was your calling? – Since I was a little kid, about 9 years old. I remember my fashion mentor: auntie Eve bringing me all the nice stuff from her trips to Paris. I started making fashion drawings around that time. By the age of twelve I had made my first handbag out of an old pair of jeans and I was spending my pocket money to fashion magazines.

How long have you had your blog? – idol-image.com is up for the last 3 years. But I had experimented with other blogs before that.

Would you want to be a personal makeup artist or stylist? – I am a stylist and I do my friends’ makeup, among other things.

What is your favorite color? P!nk – now you know my favorite singer too.

What is your favorite quote? – Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies. Aristotle.

Jeans or shorts? – Jeans in Bahrain, shorts in Greece (my legs tanned).

Business or casual? – Hmmm… smart casual.

Favorite makeup product? – Dior’s Rosy Glow

You’re on a desert island…what three items are in your purse? – My iPhone, my iPad and a solar powered charger.

Favorite fashion accessory? – Bag of course!

What is your dream job? – If I were reborn I would have become a musician.

Now it’s my turn! and here are my nominations:

The Apivita Experience

IMG_7271

I have expressed before my love for the Apivita products and have posted about this Greek company’s holistic approach to beauty which remains faithful to Hippocrates’ philosophy. I always come back to Bahrain from Greece with a suitcase full of their products and keep enough stock in my bathroom cupboard so I won’t be left without my favorite facial cream, my shower gel and soaps, my body moisturizer, essential oils but also honey, tea and kid’s amenities.
This time, during my stay in Greece I wanted to fully indulge myself by visiting the 5-storey Apivita Experience store situated in the heart of Athens.  Inspired by beehives and with an olive tree domineering on the ground floor, this beautifully decorated shop has everything you need: A juice bar where you can enjoy healthy juices and teas, a hair salon/barber-shop, a beehive spa (!), a natural pharmacy for custom-made cosmetics and a lecture room where you can learn all you need to know about beauty in various seminars organized by the company.

Dimitra and me with my new hairstyle
After enjoying a refreshing juice I decided I should give my hair a little treat and I entrusted my tresses to the hands of Dimitra who used  natural hair dyes to enhance my color and gave me a simple, yet sophisticated hair cut. I was really impressed by the results and how soft my hair was after the treatment and I highly recommend you check this shop out when being in Athens.

The adventure begins

Oh boy! Oh boy! Finally, I am test driving my new iMac and does this hi-tech genius make wonders! So easy to use!

Well, I just got back after spending one month in the US (part of the shopping frenzy I got into is my new iMac too) and have so much to share with you. I’m sure I left you in good hands and we all got some interesting reads from Dona. Now it’s her turn to take a long vacation while I will be entertaining you with some amazing stories and photos from overseas (give me some more time to get ahold of the video editing on my iMac and promise I will share videos too).

Although I was too busy in making the most of my journey in the US and my gadgets’ technical issues left me unable to share my experiences on the spot, I still posted some photos on my Instagram so if you want to have a look of what’s going to follow here, then go and follow @idol_image on your Instagram! (I always follow back 🙂 )

My holidays are not over yet and soon I will be hitting the beaches on some Greek coast. But we’ll get to that too 🙂

The jet-lag is getting me and need to go for now, will be back with a clearer mind shortly! In the meantime, have a great weekend,

Evie V.
